Dominic Ollhoff
PHOTOGRAPHER // FILMMAKER // CREATIVE
I am pretty sure I have always had a camera in my hand. I grew up filming "movies" with my friends and cousins on an old VHS camcorder. I was constantly taking photos with my first point and shoot camera. In high school I purchased my first DSLR, a Canon 60D. I filmed music videos over summer with my friends. Took some film and video production courses. Made some videos that received national traction within the tennis community.
Fast forward a few years, and I decided to officially launch a photography business, Ollhoff Photography. Over the next few years, the business grew into a consistent schedule of helping people celebrate those awesome days...but in 2016, I had an opportunity to chose a dream job working for Apple corporate. For the next 3 years, I pretty much put the photography business away and focused on my career. In 2018 I took a part time position with a local church and I revamped their entire website, social strategy, rediscovered my passion for photo/video/media content. In 2019 I helped a local brewery build their website and helped with their social strategy. But then, in march of 2020 everything changed.
Then, in March of 2020, Covid changed everything. I transitioned my business to focus on digital media. I was also given a golden opportunity to focus on content creation. I started learning TikTok and diving deep into other social media platforms. In 2021 I left my career and accepted a new career with a esports start up as a videographer which quickly turned into a social media manager role running YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. I met my beautiful partner, Kayla, who is an amazing source of creativity for me. In 2023 Nrth Media was born.
So now, here I am – a full time Creative Director from Minnesota. Just a guy who always dreamed to be doing what he loves. I couldn't be more thankful for this amazing career and all the amazing places it's taken me so far.

family
My family is the most important thing to me. I grew up an only child, so I cherished my family relationships growing up. No matter what happens in life family has been my rock and foundation. My parents, now retired, have the most beautiful relationship with each other.

travel
Oceans, Mountains and everything in-between. Life is short and I want to see everything this world has to offer. As a kid I had some amazing opportunities to travel around the untied states, whether a road trip with the family or tagging along on a parents work trip. Most recently traveled to Utah and spent several weeks off grid exploring Moab in my Jeep.

running
One thing I have always enjoyed is running. It is a great way for me to ground myself and start the creative process. A few years ago I ran a half marathon. I set a goal to run another one later this year.

gaming
As a kid I was always exploring the outdoors with the family. Sometime around middle school I remember the weekends spent playing gamecube and xbox at my friends house. Fast forward to covid it was one of my only ways to connect with family and friends around the United States. Then found myself creating and managing content for a premiere esports team in the Call of Duty League.
